WOYWW

Hello everybody,
Time for a snoop around the desks of the crafty world.
No desk today as nothing on it. Nothing in progress today as Granddaughter Ellie is coming today so only glue stick and glitter out for her!
I snapped my shelves which sit above my desk. The 2 chests contain stamps in 5 drawers, embossing powder and inks in the smaller ones.
My 12 x12 cardstock is far left of 1st pic,  jars from Ikea on top of the chests hold ribbons and buttons by colour with the white in larger jar. The centre box is card pads that are 8 x 8 or less.
Folders on far left contain magazine articles torn out for inspiration.
Top shelf (ooh er Mrs) books, DCWV boxes of 12 x 12 etc, and an RUB box again of 12 x 12.
Sorry, Julia, I went on a bit.
If your nosey like me, come have a snoop at The Stamping Ground and join in the fun.

  1. Gosh Alison everything is so tidy. I'm afraid my craft space looks like a bomb site. You might like to take a look at the blog of a friend of mine. Her name is Lena and she lives in Mumbai (Bombay). She does lovely crafts but she also posts the most marvellous pictures of her home city. Her blog address is http://lenasworksofheart.blogspot.co.uk

  4. Hi Alison, nice and tidy, I like the idea of showing what's going on around your desk...I might have to show the bombsite that is my storage - on the left hand side! My girl furchild (Bos) would love to be with you and your granddaughter today, she absolutely loves glitter...why?! Happy WOYWW. Cx #110

  5. What would us crafters do without Ikea? I used to have those drawers but my friend has them now. They had some great papers (still in use) in them.
Beer, wine, vodka - all are great ways of obtaining inspiration, especially when making backgrounds for your scrapbook layouts!! You tend to relax more and flicking or spraying flows better! Trust me on this one!

  8. Ikea has not got into our house, my storage of choice is the Really Useful Boxes, in their own special storage units. I have loads of them, but I am still not as tidy as you, Alison. Thank you for your visit. The cataloguing of the stamps is going quite well, all cross referenced on the computer. A long way to go though. xx Maggie #20

  9. Hi Alison, very neat and tidy - a place for everything and everything in its place, I see. Love the glimpse into your reading tastes too :) I'm sorry to say the LIM might have to wait a while as the EM has come down with the dreaded lurgy so I've had to take over on the domestic front and don my nurse's hat too. Hopefully, with TLC, he will make a speedy recovery and I'll get back to crafting :) Thanks for popping in and leaving a comment on my blog - it's much appreciated. Hope your WOYWW has been happy. 10. Ikea has definitely got in my craft room Alison, my brother moved and he gave me all his wooden A4 boxes he had bought from there and his big posh leather computer chair, to say I was pleased was an understatement,I keep asking him if he fancies moving again hahahaha! huggles hun Sue J xxx

  12. I don't do the WOYWW thing because I don't really have a desk, but it's really fun seeing your shelves. I sure wish we had IKEA somewhere near here. I've never been in one. We passed one once on the thruway in Newark, NJ, and I almost jumped out of the car I got so excited! It's the only one I've ever seen.

  15. You've got keeping your GD Ellie busy all figured out! My girlfriend told me she had a 9 year old over crafting with her last weekend and using her Copics. I don't know if I could do that! Like you said glue and glitter should be enough!(smiles) I love your craft organizations. I might have to install some shelving and get more art bins! Tamika #125

    1. The little jars are Rajtan from Ikea. They are about £2.00 for 4.
I just glued a button in each colour on the top.
